Allois, German (1962 - )

Allois style displays the influence of a variety of painters, from Francis Bacon to Old Masters like William Turner, Francisco de Goya, Velasquez and Rubens and, yet her works also present a distinctly surreal viewpoint.

She is best known for the striking and bizarre images of Aliens in her surrealist work. She illustrated collectable edition of the stories by Edgar Allan Poe and Ray Bradbury "THE FALL OF THE HOUSE OF USHER/USHER II," published by Gauntlet Press in 2010.

Allois was born in Luttershtad Wittenberg, Germany, raised in Poland and Ukraine.

Allois earned a Master of Science Diploma from Kiev State University, Ukraine and received a Diploma in Art and Design from the National Academy of Art, Ukraine (1990–93), took drawing and monoprint classes at Lev Moross Studio, USA (2002–2005) and portrait classes by Inger Hodson (2014 - 2016).

Allois relocated to Chicago, from Kiev, Ukraine in 1995. She moved with her family to LA in 2001. Since 2002, she has been working at her Malibu and Hi-Desert Studios.
