Born in Wu-sih, China, he studied art in China but later became a resident of New York City. From 1942 to 1946, he was an Instructor of Watercolor at St. Johns University in Shanghai and in the 1960s and 70s, was a visiting professor at Pensylvania State College and Utah State University. His memberships include the National Academy of Design and the American Watercolor Society. He has also been a director of the Audubon Society. |
