Miss Dennison, who was on the faculty of the Knox School in Cooperstown, New York, studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, where she was awarded the Cresson European Traveling Scholarship.

Having exhibited at the Butler Art Institute's New Year Shows, Miss Dennison was the recipient of the Youngstown Federation of Women's Club prize for the best local painting. Her work has also been exhibited in the Cincinnati Annual, at the Art Association of Newport, Rhode Island, in the Corcoran Biennial, and the Pennsylvania Academy Annual.
