| DARIA
DOROSH
Daria Dorosh lives and works in New York City. She began exhibiting
her work in 1970, after graduating from the Fashion Institute
of Technology and the Cooper Union School of Art and Architecture
.
In 1972 she was one of twenty founding members of A.I.R.Gallery,
a non-profit art organization in New York City dedicated to
creating visibility in the artworld for women artists.
She has been teaching art and design since 1969, and is currently
Professor of Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology
in New York.
She works from a multi-media approach, encompassing painting,
sculpture, photography, drawing, electronic media, and public
art.
She has written about her work for Leonardo, Journal of the
International Society for the Arts, Sciences and Technology,
and for Independent Projects.
Her work can be seen at A.I.R. Gallery in New York City.
