Lisa Falls is a registered, board certified art therapist with the Art Therapy Credentials Board. Lisa has provided art therapy in San Diego for the past nine and a half years, including in a hospice setting as a bereavement counselor. She worked with adults, children, families and groups. She organized the first local exhibition of art by bereaved children and adolescents, "Journey to My Heart." She was an art therapist in residential treatment programs for emotionally disturbed children and adolescents. She is currently the Program Coordinator for the UCSD Extension Art Therapy Professional Certificate Program and also teaches in that program. Lisa is past president of the San Diego Art Therapy Association. She co-facilitates a Survivors of Suicide group and is on their Board of Directors. Lisa received her BA at UC Berkeley, her Masters of Fine Arts degree from Brooklyn College and a Masters of Professional Studies in Art Therapy and Creativity Development from Pratt University in New York. She holds an EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) Certificate of Completion. |
