Attila Hejja was born in Hungary. He is well known among illustrators and clients for his outstanding work. His use of light, shadow, and atmosphere communicate a dreamy presence to his paintings of aerospace subjects.
He has done work for Grumman Corporation, the Air Force, and is a frequent member of the NASA fine arts group. He has done several covers for Popular Mechanics magazine, as well as appearances in many other popular and trade magazines.
His work is in public and private collections worldwide, including the Kennedy Space Center, the Pentagon, and the National Air and Space Museum.
Attila studied under Harold Stevenson, himself a student of Norman Rockwell, and has received many awards, including the prestigious Gold Medal from the Society of Illustrators.
