Dumitru Ivan

Born: February 18, 1938, Sighisoara, Romania, Europe

Education: Graduated the “Nicolae Grigorescu” Academy of Fine Arts (1960-1966). Completed three post-graduate courses in 1969, 1971, and 1978 in Art and Art History at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bucharest, Romania.

He is a member of the Romanian Fine Arts Association and of Ward-Nasse Gallery in New York City.

1966 to 1983, he taught art at the Liberal Arts Institute in Cluj-Napoca, Romania
1967 to 1975 he was a participating artist at the National Salon of Drawing and Engraving in Romania

Participated in all national, biennial and commemorative art shows in Romania (juried professional shows)
Participated and received an award in the Arts Midwest/NEA Regional Fellowship for Visual Artists Contest, held in 1986

Participated as a volunteer in designing posters and pamphlets for the Rapid City Symphony League, South Dakota
