Mireille Kramer, Painter. b. 1932, Egypt. Immigrated 1951. Studies: Hebrew University, literature and bible; Milan, Italy, Italian literature; School of Art, Louvre, Paris; Julian Academy of Graphics; Pratt institute, New York, graphics. Works in New York and lives at Ein Hod. A contemporary Israeli painter and printmaker, Mireille Kramer immigrated from Egypt to Israel in 1951. She first enrolled at the Hebrew University and then studied etching techniques at the University of Milan, in Italy. Kramer later went to Paris and continued her art education at the Ecole de Louvre and at the Academie Julian. Finally, the artist completed her education at the Pratt Institute in New York. |
