Lucien Lafont

Lucien Lafont Sentenac, born July 11, 1893, after studying at the Institut Agronomique in Paris, he became an Officer of the stud after his training at Haras du Pin in Normandy.

After the War of 1914 (where he was awarded the Croix de Guerre), he married his cousin Martha Lafont Sentenac.

At the end of the war, it is post stud Cluny Saone-et-Loire. He was then successively appointed Deputy Director Paul the stud, the stud Villeneuve-sur-Lot, and finally the stud Tarbes2 director (1944-1970). It is in this period that he became interested in race horses Mérens he gave to honor (small horses with which he became leisure horses), and thanks to him were entered in the stud book.

He died in 1986 and buried in the chapel of Estaniels (locality near La Bastide-de-Sérou), common Sentenac-de-Sérou.
