Matilde Marin (1948 - )

 

      Matilde Marin Live and works in Buenos Aires. She graduated in printmaking at the Buenos Aires School of Fine Arts, Argentina. In 1985 the Buenos Aires Museum of Modern Art awarded her the "Fellowship for Young Printmakers" Prize.

      Since 1975 she has been exhibiting her works in Argentine, Venezuelan, Swiss and Italian museums and galleries. She has also participated in biennials and international exhibitions in Japan, U.S.A., Switzerland, Germany, Norway, Yugoslavia and Spain. Among the awards she has received are the Argentina "National Print Award"; International Print Award, Listowel International Print Biennial, Ireland; First Prize at the Latin American Print Biennial held in Puerto Rico; and Twenty others awarded by museums and private foundations.

      Her works are represented, among others, in the Buenos Aires Museum of Modern Art; the Buenos Aires Citibank Collection; the Museum of Contemporary Printmaking, Norway; and the Berlin Print Library, in the Federal Republic of Germany.
