Ignazio Moncada, Italian (1932 - )

Born in Palermo in 1932, he is known also abroad for his Pont-Art works. His painting is characterized by the remarkable strength of the colours and by the geometrical signs, not rigorous, but often violating the rule. In his paintings the geometric shapes mix, but none prevails. His latest production, "Archaeology", manifests the final purpose of Moncada's art: to rescue what is forgotten, to give breath to choked energies.
