Neilson (1907 – 1987)
Winthrop Neilson started painting in his
twenties while biking through Southern France with a paint box
on his back. While visiting Rome he came up with his linear
style. He lived in Buck Hill Falls, PA and for fifteen years
at the National Arts Club in New York City. He was not only
a painter but a writer.
