Edith Penman

London born, Penman trained at the Cooper Union, NYC, 1879-80.

She was an active painter-etcher from 1887 until 1926, and her work was included in exhibitions such as at the Columbian Exposition, the NYEC, the NAD, and many others. Largely forgotten, her etchings were featured in the landmark exhibition, "American Women of the Etching Revival," 1988, at the High Museum, Atlanta.
