Frantz Petion

  Mr. Frantz Petion is a good "Native Style" painter who has had a lot of success. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, he learned the art by visiting numerous art centers around the city. He specialized in drawing and painting animals. Petion was a member of the Cooperative Committee Haitiano-Netherlands of painters for seven years. His numerous pieces of art were exhibited mostly at the well known Nader's Art Gallery located in downtown Port-au-Prince.

Before leaving Haiti in 1987, Petion received a Certificate from each of these two art centers for work well done. He presently lives in New York City and paints on a part time basis for exhibits.
