Charles Smith Sanders, American (1959 - )

Charles Sanders was born in 1959 in Washington D.C. He grew up in nearby Rockville, Maryland. A completely self-taught artist, he showed talent at the age of four, and sold his first commercial piece at the age of seven.

While he learned to paint under the traditional influences of the great masters, he began to break away into more unique themes and styles in the early eighties.

Now residing on Maryland's Eastern Shore, he spends most of his time painting, teaching, and is currently working on a series of children's books he hopes to complete in the near future.
