| Jacques
Soisson (1928 - )
Jacques Soisson was born in Paris in 1928. His paintings have astounding colours and his totemic personnages always reveal an eye-opening vibrant sensitivity. He is much concerned with art therapy, teaching ill children to express themselves in painting when words fail them. And working with them, he acquired his direct style.
French artist, has exhibited since 1954
in France, Algeria, Switzerland, Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, United-States,
Canada. His collections can be found in numerous museums of
France and worldwide. Colorful, magical, his works reveal a
moving sensitivity. "His canvases of fantastic inspiration
have totemic shapes. As comfortable with monumental animation
as with canvas on easel, his palette resembles Mexican colours."
(Benezit Dictionary) His paintings resemble stained glass due
to their definite shapes and bright, flat colours.
