Soni Wallace, American

Soni Wallace is a Fine Art Photographer and Painter, who focuses on the unusual. She has won many awards for her camera artistry. The surreal imagery in her work creates an emotional intimacy between herself and the viewer.

My dream of a trip to Tuscany was realized in October 2006. My aim was to photograph the unusual, and incorporate feelings and beauty in landscapes, street scenes and exploring daily life of the area. In Siena the houses were old, with muted hues of ochre and turquoise, chipped and peeling paint visible. Laundry was displayed, facing the street, making for an eclectic view. The streets were dark and narrow, and I played tag with the light to highlight the shots of interest. All in all, a breathtaking experience.
