Luis Zárate , Mexican [1951 - ]

Luis Zárate was born in Santa Catarina Cuanana, a small town of Tlaxiaco, Oaxaca, in 1951. Zárate studied painting in The National School of Fine Arts in Paris, France. Since 1970, he participated in more than 30 collective exhibitions in Mexico and abroad receiving international distinctions. Together with Rufino Tamayo, Francisco Toledo, Rodolfo Morales, Sergio Hernández and Luis Don’s, integrates the calling "School of Oaxaca".
