About the artist:

Diane Hoeptner holds a BA in Studio Art from CA State University, Northridge. She worked as a digital artist in the video game and film industries during the 90’s where she honed her skills in visual storytelling and composition.

Inspired by the rise of the daily painting movement, Diane began creating and blogging small-format paintings. Her floral still lifes caught the attention of publishers and were licensed for posters and greeting cards by companies such as Editions Limited, Current, and American Greetings.

A turning point in her artistic journey happened when she began painting her own beloved cats. What started as personal expression quickly grew into a passionate focus on shelter cats, a theme that would define her work for years to come. Her cat paintings have since been featured in notable publications, including Cats in Art by Desmond Morris, The Book of the Cat, Modern Cat Magazine, The Artist’s Magazine, Southwest Art and International Artist.

Diane currently lives in Kirtland, Ohio, with her husband and two rescue cats.
