about Nautica XI

Nautica XI navigates the depths of geometric abstraction through a masterful composition of pyramids, squares, and triangular forms that echo the structured beauty of nautical design.

This hand-signed screenprint represents the pinnacle of geometric and optical art movements, where precise mathematical relationships create a sense of movement and dimensional depth reminiscent of ocean currents and maritime architecture. The interplay of angular forms generates a rhythmic visual flow that draws the eye through layers of geometric complexity, while the carefully calculated proportions create subtle optical illusions that shift and transform as viewers change their perspective. An essential piece for collectors who appreciate the marriage of nautical inspiration with contemporary geometric expression and the sophisticated intersection of mathematics and artistic vision.

About The Medium: Screenprint

A stencil process employing a frame on which silk or synthetic fabric is stretched. Stencils are hand-drawn or hand-cut and placed on the stretched fabric and act as a block out when the ink passes through the screen by means of a squeegee onto the paper, the non-stencil areas create the image. Also known as silkscreen or serigraph.
