about Buste de Femme Assise - Les Mains Sous le Menton

This print by Pablo Picasso portrays a woman wearing a hat in an abstracted, complex form.

With her hands clasped underneath her chin and elbows resting on the table before her, the female figure's eyes appear to jump out of her eye sockets and avoid the gaze of the viewer. Typical of the artist's Cubist work, this image shows a clear disregard for conventional portrait conventions and seeks to differentiate itself by means of radical use of perspective and angles. Lithograph with Estate-approved Picasso signature printed below image. It also has in typeset under image, 'Collection Marina Picasso' and the copyright info in typeset right of image. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.

About The Medium: Lithograph

A print created using flat stones or metal plates. The artist creates a lithograph by drawing an image directly onto the printing element using materials like lithograph crayons or special grease pencils. After this, the drawing is transferred from the plate to the paper in multiples. A lithograph will not have dots when examined with a magnifying glass.
