about Honour II

Honour II continues the artist’s exploration of respect and reverence through powerful bird imagery combined with intimate handwritten text that speaks to themes of dignity and cultural heritage.

This evocative monoprint by Rebecca Baird demonstrates the ongoing development of her work within Conceptual Art and Contemporary Art, where majestic eagles, hawks, and vultures are integrated with personal letters and notes that create a deeply meaningful dialogue about honor, respect, and our relationship with the natural world. The artwork’s collage elements and doodle-like marks maintain the intimate, journal-like quality that characterizes this important series, inviting viewers to reflect on their own understanding of honor and responsibility. Perfect for collectors who appreciate art that addresses profound themes of respect and cultural values while celebrating the majesty and spiritual significance of birds of prey through thoughtful artistic expression.

About The Medium: Screenprint

A stencil process employing a frame on which silk or synthetic fabric is stretched. Stencils are hand-drawn or hand-cut and placed on the stretched fabric and act as a block out when the ink passes through the screen by means of a squeegee onto the paper, the non-stencil areas create the image. Also known as silkscreen or serigraph.
