About The Artist: Rocky Rodgers

Rocky Rodgers was born in Oklahoma in 1947 and grew up in Texas and Los Angeles. He has been painting ans drawing since childhood. Rodgers di impressionistic and Oriental Style Paintings while stationed aboard a Navy ship during the Vietnamm era. When he left the service Rodgers attended the University of New Mexico Fine Arts where he studied contemporary abstract painting. Rodgers lived in Taos, where the countryside is as close as one's front...

The artist creates a lithograph by drawing an image directly onto the printing element using materials like lithograph crayons or special grease pencils. After this, the drawing is transferred from the plate to the paper in multiples. A lithograph will not have dots when examined with a magnifying glass.
