about Taos Corn Dancers

Holding bundles of wildflowers in their hands, the four Native American women in this Alice Asmar print stand across from one another and wear matching red, green, and black sashes.

With only two of their faces visible as two women have their back to the viewer, the women are classically beautiful but sport corn cob-esque forms in place of their legs or feet.

About The Medium: Lithograph

A print created using flat stones or metal plates. The artist creates a lithograph by drawing an image directly onto the printing element using materials like lithograph crayons or special grease pencils. After this, the drawing is transferred from the plate to the paper in multiples. A lithograph will not have dots when examined with a magnifying glass.
