About the artist:
Allen Friedman is a cum laude graduate of the New York Phoenix School of Design with additional studies at the Art Students League, School of Visual Arts and Pratt Institute. He worked for many years as a designer and illustrator with leading publishers and design studios. He is a former art director of a New York based publishing house and The Fish Net Magazine, a New York Sportsmans Illustrated. Mr. Friedman now owns his own studio and is actively engaged in design and commission work. Since he is also an active conservationist and sportsman he spends much of his time afield gathering reference material and doing research for his paintings. Mr. Friedman's work in wildlife painting gained popularity first with conservation and sportsmens groups and then quickly spread to the general public. His work is often sought at nortneast region shows and exhibits.
