about Dame et Mirroir

Discover the introspective beauty of "Dame et Mirroir" (Lady and Mirror) by Andre Minaux, an original lithograph that captures the timeless theme of self-reflection through Cubist-influenced composition and sophisticated modernist approach.

This contemplative work showcases Minaux’s distinctive interpretation of the classical mirror motif, where geometric simplification and spatial fragmentation create a modern meditation on identity and perception. The artist’s masterful handling of the lithographic medium creates rich tonal depth and compositional balance that transform this intimate moment into a celebration of feminine introspection and the relationship between reality and reflection. A distinguished addition to any collection focused on Cubism, figurative art, or works that explore the intersection of Modern Art and timeless themes by this important French artist.

About The Medium: Lithograph

A print created using flat stones or metal plates. The artist creates a lithograph by drawing an image directly onto the printing element using materials like lithograph crayons or special grease pencils. After this, the drawing is transferred from the plate to the paper in multiples. A lithograph will not have dots when examined with a magnifying glass.
