about Linge from the Helene Portfolio

Discover the domestic elegance of "Linge from the Helene Portfolio" by Andre Minaux, an original lithograph that captures the quiet beauty of household linens through Cubist-influenced composition and refined modernist approach.

This contemplative work from the celebrated Helene Portfolio showcases Minaux’s distinctive ability to elevate everyday objects into subjects worthy of artistic meditation, where geometric simplification and spatial fragmentation transform simple textiles into a modern exploration of form and domestic life. The artist’s masterful handling of the lithographic medium creates subtle tonal variations and compositional balance that celebrate the poetry found in ordinary household moments. A sophisticated addition to any collection focused on Cubism, still life art, or works from the prestigious Helene Portfolio series by this important French artist.

About The Medium: Lithograph

A print created using flat stones or metal plates. The artist creates a lithograph by drawing an image directly onto the printing element using materials like lithograph crayons or special grease pencils. After this, the drawing is transferred from the plate to the paper in multiples. A lithograph will not have dots when examined with a magnifying glass.
