About the artist:

Escartin was born in Barcelona, Spain in 1938. He attended the High School of Fine Arts, where he exhibited three times and won several first prize awards. He exhibited in Leon, Spain in 1960, a solo exhibition, and again in 1964 in Leon, Barcelona, and Madrid in group exhibitions. In 1966 he exhibited again in Madrid, Barcelona, Oviedo, Malaga, Cordoba and Granada, He was awarded the Rodriguez Acosta Foundation Prize in Granada. In the same year he joined the Contemporary Artists Association and exhibited exclusively with this group. In 1966 he exhibition for the first time in North America with great success at the Greenwich Village Gallery in New York. In 1967 he exhibited again in many cities in Spain, including Seville. He continued to exhibit in Paris, Brussels, Geneva, and Rome. He works are in many collections worldwide.
