French-American artist Arman is known for his "Accumulations" of objects, often found objects, instruments and chess pieces.

This silkscreen of colorful and compressed violins is typical of his graphic work. The print is signed and numbered in pencil. Nicely framed.  

About The Artist: Arman

The French Armand Pierre Fernandez, born in 1928, is one of the most important international object artists and a co-founder and member of the Nouveau Réalisme. He studied at the Ecole Nationale des Arts Décoratifs in Nice from 1946 to 1949 and then continued his studies for two years at the Ecole du Louvre in Paris. About The Medium: Screenprint

A stencil process employing a frame on which silk or synthetic fabric is stretched. Stencils are hand-drawn or hand-cut and placed on the stretched fabric and act as a block out when the ink passes through the screen by means of a squeegee onto the paper, the non-stencil areas create the image. Also known as silkscreen or serigraph.
