About The Artist: Beck and Jung

Beck & Jung was the Swedish artist duo Holger Backstrom (1939-1997) and Bo Ljungberg (1939-2007). Beck & Jung is known among other things for the artwork Hello patient at the entrance to Huddinge Hospital and the mass produced ashtray Ultima with grids in checkered profile, which existed in many public buildings. About The Medium: Lithograph

A print created using flat stones or metal plates. The artist creates a lithograph by drawing an image directly onto the printing element using materials like lithograph crayons or special grease pencils. After this, the drawing is transferred from the plate to the paper in multiples. A lithograph will not have dots when examined with a magnifying glass.
