about Folk Village

With birds flying overhead, Claudine's rendering of a small village is heartfelt and sweet.

Villagers in folk costumes collect plants and twigs while others herd their animals or collect water from the well. In the distance, the hilltop village is comprised of small houses and a dense forest.

About The Medium: Screenprint

A stencil process employing a frame on which silk or synthetic fabric is stretched. Stencils are hand-drawn or hand-cut and placed on the stretched fabric and act as a block out when the ink passes through the screen by means of a squeegee onto the paper, the non-stencil areas create the image. Also known as silkscreen or serigraph.
