about Tapestry of Spring

Set before Mount Moran in the Grand Teton Mountain Range of Wyoming, Conrad Schwiering's depiction of a field of yellow wildflowers emerging from the recently-thawed soil is an image of renewal and rebirth.

Past the field, a forest of spruce and pine trees separate the open area from the rocky facade of the snow-capped mountain in the distance.

About The Artist: Conrad Schwiering

Working from his home and studio in Jackson, Wyoming, Conrad Schwiering painted mountain landscapes that showed the changing seasons. About The Medium: Lithograph

A print created using flat stones or metal plates. The artist creates a lithograph by drawing an image directly onto the printing element using materials like lithograph crayons or special grease pencils. After this, the drawing is transferred from the plate to the paper in multiples. A lithograph will not have dots when examined with a magnifying glass.
