About The Artist: Graham Borough

Born in Sydney in 1952. Graham Borough moved to Queensland in 1986 and began painting professionally in 1988. The influences are firstly organic, from growing up in the beachside suburb of Balmoral in Sydney to the vibrant light, colours and beachside culture of sub tropical Queensland. About The Medium: Screenprint

A stencil process employing a frame on which silk or synthetic fabric is stretched. Stencils are hand-drawn or hand-cut and placed on the stretched fabric and act as a block out when the ink passes through the screen by means of a squeegee onto the paper, the non-stencil areas create the image. Also known as silkscreen or serigraph.
