About The Artist: Hippolyte Moreau

Hippolyte Moreau was born in Dijon in 1832 and died in Neuilly-sur-Seine in 1927, was a French sculptor. Francis said Hippolyte is the second son of the sculptor Jean-Baptiste Moreau and forms in the workshop of his father. With his two brothers Auguste and Mathurin, he moved to Paris to follow the teaching of François Jouffroy at the School of Fine Arts.
