About the artist:

Born 1945 in New York. Educated at Boston University, Harvard and Bryn Mawr. Worked early on as a lecturer and gallery director in New England. After returning to NY, he worked as a archivist for Leo Castelli Gallery and as an assistant to sculptor John Chamberlain for four years. In 1976 he began showing minimalist lacquer paintings in New York, later he incorporated first "Appropriated Art" then art deco designs and during the last five years, abstractions based on aerial landscape and the Grand Canyon. He has shown at O.K.Harris, Elizabeth Weiner Gallery, Galerie Yves Arman, the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC and the Lowe Art Museum in Ft. Lauderdale Florida.
