About The Artist: Mel Smothers

Was born in Sacramento, CA, and earned a BA from California State University at Sacramento, studied with Wayne Thiebaud at University of California at Davis and MFA from University of Idaho. He moved his studio to NY in 2005. His work is about a painting dialogue created with Andy Warhol’s work.
