About The Artist: Ole Hamann

Born in 1917 in Copenhagen, Ole Hamann created art that ranges from cubist "skyscraper" paintings to expressionistic paintings of broken musical instruments and romantic landscape scenery. Hamann has designed more than fifty postage stamps for the UN and for several countries. The artist creates a lithograph by drawing an image directly onto the printing element using materials like lithograph crayons or special grease pencils.
