A Pablo Picasso lithograph from the "Toros y Toreros" book by Luis Miguel Dominquez (published 1961).
The book is an exhaustive collection of drawings documenting Picasso's obsession with Bullfighting completed in 1959. Wearing a ruffled pink dress with matching feathered tophat, the black-haired woman in this Pablo Picasso print looks ahead as her white horse rears up on its hind legs. Although not directly representative of the Spanish bullfighting found throughout the book "Toros y Toreros", the equestrian skill and formal attire of the woman are reminiscent of the fine outfits and skilled riding techniques of participants in bullfighting events.
