Peter Mayer, a.k.a. the Dog Man of Soho. This artist achieved worldwide fame for his depictions of dogs on the streets of New York City. About The Medium: Gelatin Silver Print

The most common photographic printing process, introduced in the 1880s. These prints are made with silver halides suspended in a layer of gelatin on fibre based paper.
