about BMW Art Car

Race car driver and auctioneer Hervé Poulain thought up the idea to have artists to create artworks on cars.

Alexander Calder was the first to create such a work in 1975 in collaboration with BMW. This is a model of Roy Lichtenstein’s art car, a 320i Turbo he painted in 1975.
