A dark snake snarls above the hands of a couple.

It is unclear if the male hand is removing or putting the ring on the woman's hand. Perhaps the snake is meant to symbolism a poisonous relationship.

Sandu Liberman was born in Yasi, Rumania in 1923. between 1946 and 1953 he took part in ll state shows in Bucharest. in 1952 he was awarded the gold medal at the International Art Festival in Rumania. that same year he was commisioned to illustrate the large encylopedia Rumania, and was appointed Official Portrait Artist of Rumania.
