After The Brooks Institute, Stan taught photography at Every Woman's Village. A career in freelance Photography occupied five years of Stan's creative endeavors. A Renaissance man in the truest sense, Stan Solomon is a self-taught artist. Energetic colors and shapes define vividly detailed background spaces. Bold chroma acrylics define a signature theme that echoes throughout the breadth of this artist's prolific body of work. Julie, who has worked with me for over 25 years, says, "Each piece is like a love letter from the "Land of High Whimsy".... whatever does she mean? I think that you can attach any meaning that you want to my work. It's up to you, the viewer. Mostly, I just have fun with the paint and attempt to put the imagery in my head on canvas. Why that imagery? Where does it come from? I don't know, it just appeals to me.
