About The Artist: Yuri Tremler

Yuri Tremler was born in the Ukraine in 1961. He Attended the College of Arts in Kharkov. Later he continued his studies at the Kharkov Art & Design Academy and the Gall Design School in Germany, and worked as a theater decorator as as interior designer. In 1996 Tremler immigrated to Israel, where he tried his hand in crafts and jewelry, further refining his sensibilities regarding texture, shape and function. In Israel many new materials...

About The Medium: Screenprint

A stencil process employing a frame on which silk or synthetic fabric is stretched. Stencils are hand-drawn or hand-cut and placed on the stretched fabric and act as a block out when the ink passes through the screen by means of a squeegee onto the paper, the non-stencil areas create the image. Also known as silkscreen or serigraph.
