Wilhelm Woernle, German (1849 - 1922)

 

Wilhelm Woernle (or W├Ârnle) was born in Stuttgart and died in Vienna, to which he moved around 1876. He trained at the Stuttgart School of Art. He is remembered for original etchings and watercolours, and also for interpretative etchings after the work of other artists. For interpretative etchings by Wilhelm Woernle after Edmund Harburger and others, including various masters of the Italian Renaissance, enter Woernle in the simple search.
