Endre Szasz

Hungarian (1926–2003)

About the artist:

Endre Szasz was born in 1926 in Csikszereda, Hungary and his astounding technique earned him a reputation as a Paganini of fine art. He studied at the University of Fine Art in Budapest. This was memorably illustrated in 1984 in Amman, when the paintings he was due to exhibit failed to turn up. Undeterred, Endre painted them again overnight, and the Endre Szasz Exhibition was opened by Jordan's Queen Noor the next day. Endre Szasz was one of the richest artists alive. On his visits to Munich Germany, each of the Endre Szasz paintings yielded a NEW BMW or Mercedes! His porcelains, ceramics, jewellery, carpets and prints are represented in public and private colections in his native land and throughout Europe and North America.
