About the artist:
Born in 1925 in Belgium. Out of the Ecole Boulle, and after a brief stint at the Fine Arts and Decorative Arts, he attended all those who mark the Art of the second half of the twentieth century. Noticed by Jacques Villon for the rigor of his drawing, his talent exploded under the rule of such a Master. Secret painter, illustrator rather creative in the etymological sense, WESTEL brings out the unspoken works which he worked . Thus, a stakeholder in the " Fêtes Galantes " Verlaine , Rimbaud accompanies , "Man with soles of wind " in his " Illuminations" and managed to make ourselves heard "Le Silence de la Mer" Vercors . His interpretation of "Roman Comique " of Scarron in the series of classics by the Imprimerie Nationale is among the most remarkable Painters of this collection.
