About the artist:

Hecht studied at the Cleveland School of Art, and was a member of the American Art Congress and the United American Artists. He exhibited from the mid 1920s-60s, at the Society of Independent Artists, Whitney Museum, Los Angeles County Museum, Cincinnati Art Museum, Brooklyn Museum, Provincetown Art Festival, and the Babcock Gallery. His work is in the collections of the Syracuse Museum of Art and Brooklyn College.
